About the Materials
These rain chains are made of 100% RECYCLABLE stainless steel. Stainless steel is a generic term for a family of low carbon alloy steels containing 10.5% or more chromium. The corrosion resistance and other useful properties of steel are ideal for rain chains and does not require any coating or other corrosion protection to remain bright and shiny even after decades of use.
About the Design
Known as an “open” water flow system, rain chains are designed to transform a plain gutter downspout into a pleasing water feature. The Stainless Link Rain Chain features links that efficiently guide the water to the ground and is available in four different link thicknesses – 1/8”, 3/16”, ¼” and 5/16”. They are easily attached with the included gutter clip and hang a generous 8 ½ feet long. Don’t worry about ice, just be aware that you may need to account for the extra weight on the chain when the water freezes.
